Last Sunday (22nd Jan) saw the third round of Frankleys Winter Series.
They day started off, nicely with the track drying quickly during the free practice.
After an hours free practice there were 3 rounds of qualifying running at 7 minutes long each.
Matthew Lawrence took the first round, with Mitchell Booth in second and Ian Hancock in third.
At the end of the second round of quali Mitchell Booth moved up into first, with Matthew Lawrence slipping two second and Kamil Jablonski moving up into third
Round 3 saw Matthew Lawrence moving back into first place with Mitchell Booth slipping back into second place and Kamil Jablonski staying in a solid third place.
Meaning Matthew Lawrence takes TQ with Mitchell Booth in second and Kamil Jablonski in third on the grid.
Finals were set to run at 20 for the C; 25 for the B and 30 for the A
C Final
The final started with Adam Smith on pole; Zak Bancroft in second and Ryan Bridgewater in third. Everyone managed to make the first corner with no problems and no pile up!
The final would only finish with 4 remaining, as people retired with problems/breakages, just leaving Stuart Wright, Adam Smith, Gary Gregory, Zak Bancroft left to fight it out for the one and only bump up.
Stuart Wright won the final, one of two truggies, and bumped up into the B.
B final
The final started with Jake Knight on pole; Darren Moult in second and Simon White in third. Everyone managed to make the first corner with no problems and no pile up!
This final saw a lot of close racing between different drivers

A final
The final got off to a good start with Matthew Lawrence leading after the first lap, with Mitchell Booth not too far behind and Paul White in second.
As the time ticked by battles for position were happening all the way down the leader board. As the last lap finished Mitchell Booth took the win, with Matthew Lawrence in second and the other Lawrence, Ryan, in third & Steve Shakespeare in fourth place .Meaning Team Associated locked out the top 4.
All in all it was good sunny, but very windy, fun days racing with a lot close racing.
